Elegance and decency. These are the words to describe our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Nan was always a humble example of the best people that have graced this wonderful world we occupy. Those that have held to the highest values. Equality was core to her existence and her life. She was wife to Don. Her backbone of honourability was like a steel rod for him, and for them, to build a wonderful and special life together. For those of us who survive her, it is our challenge to emulate her grace, care for others and cultured existence.
Mother to Marjorie, John, David and James. Grandmother to Katie, Andrew, Bridget, Camilla, Jack, Kirrily, Will, Michael, Jennifer, Rosie, Alex, Charles, Grace and Harrison. Great-grandmother to Amy, Fred, Gus, Lily, Agnes, Theo, Penelope, Emily. The great grandmother of two yet to come. Camilla is expecting in March. Rosie is expecting in June. Mother-in-law to Fritz, Margery, Eden, Katie, Di and Carley. Grandmother in law to Damien, Lucy, Dan, Aaron, Dan, Tom and Chris.
It must be said.
Nan was cared for at Regis Aged Care Armadale and for the last years of her life in Regis Aged Care Malvern East. The staff and management are the most beautiful and dedicated people. Their care and friendship for Nan was beyond reproach. Their humanity gave Nan purpose and belief at times when that was hard to find.
We will forever be in your debt.
To certain individuals, they will know who they are, and to Beata, we love you and thank you.
